Professional and transparent operation of the municipality

Vysoký Újezd is indeed a dynamically developing municipality and therefore also needs a dynamic leadership capable of responding to the needs of its inhabitants.

Professionalism

Practically all areas of human life are nowadays regulated by law, and the same is of course true for the functioning of the municipality. It is undoubtedly a great advantage to have a person in charge of a municipality who is familiar with the legal system of the Czech Republic and, by extension, the European Union.

A mayor with legal knowledge is familiar with the Municipal Act and can quickly find his way around all the other legal regulations he comes across in the course of his duties. This will enable a professional and rapid response to any legal issues that arise in the municipality, without the need to frequently use the services of a lawyer with whom the municipality has a contract, which will ultimately save the municipality considerable financial resources.

In view of the lack of infrastructure capacity in our municipalities (see above), another area in which the municipal leadership should be well versed is the subsidy system. It is necessary to have individual projects ready and to react quickly when the incriminated subsidy titles are announced and not just "pull projects out of the drawer". We also offer experts in subsidies as our candidates for the council.

Transparency and public participation

Already in the period of the outgoing municipal council we have involved all our candidates in activities for the municipality, most often in the municipal committees. We intend to continue this practice; our candidates are experts in various fields and intend to use their knowledge, skills and experience to the full for the benefit of our municipalities. ŽIJME SPOLEČNĚ is for the widest possible involvement of residents in the functioning of the municipality. It is important to know the opinions of our citizens and to view the situation in the municipality from different perspectives. As it is already evident, not everything is agreed upon in our municipalities. We are in favour of maximum openness and discussion with the public in order to reach reasonable, compromise solutions to the problems. Hand in hand with the rocketing growth of our population, there is a growing number of experts from every conceivable field. It would be a great pity not to make use of the knowledge of these people, even if they are not directly interested in running in municipal elections.

ŽIJME SPOLEČNĚ is therefore in favour of maximum transparency about all the happenings in the municipality, and also for the widest possible public involvement in the functioning of the municipality. In the event that LIVE TOGETHER succeeds in the elections, we will propose the introduction of online broadcasts of the public meetings of the municipal council, so that even those citizens who cannot attend in person will have the opportunity to see how people's elected representatives come to the meetings prepared and working for their constituents, and of course also for the sake of engaging in the discussion on the problems of the municipality. The recordings made at the public meeting would then be available to the citizens. We will also promote public involvement through joint meetings, public debates, questionnaire surveys, comment procedures, etc.
