Programme 2026–2030

An open and responsible municipality

A well-run municipality is not only about investment. Open leadership that listens to residents, talks to them and manages money responsibly matters just as much. Our goal is a municipal office that is professional, helpful and transparent.

What we have achieved together

  • We greatly improved how residents are informed – through the website, the Vysoký Újezd mobile app, live streams of council meetings, social media and the municipal newsletter.
  • We hold public consultations on major projects and involve residents in the discussion about the municipality's future.
  • We set up new council committees and support the local committees in Kozolupy and Kuchař.
  • We made the running and organisation of the municipal office more professional.
  • We built a stable technical-services team and base – a new depot at Na Pekinku, two lorries (one of them electric) and further equipment.
  • We actively prepare projects and look for grants to fund them – CZK 43 million in grants secured.
  • We manage money responsibly and invest above all in projects with long-term value for the municipality.

What we plan to do

  • Keep communicating openly with residents and involving them in the decisions that matter.
  • Continue modernising the municipal office's services and expanding digital communication.
  • Make effective use of grant programmes and find savings in the day-to-day running of the municipality.
  • Develop high-quality, professional technical services for residents' everyday needs.
Responsible finances

We invest now. We repay responsibly.

Vysoký Újezd is growing fast, and the infrastructure we lack has to be built at the time the municipality actually needs it. That is why, alongside our own funds and the grants we secured, we also took out an investment loan – above all for school infrastructure and other projects with long-term value.

We see the loan as a tool that lets us make the necessary investments today and spread the cost over the years ahead. The 2025 budget allowed for higher spending mainly because of investment in the school, in land for public amenities and in other development projects. The medium-term budget outlook for 2026 and 2027 is, by contrast, in surplus and provides for the debt to be repaid step by step.

We are convinced that responsible investment financing is the right path for a fast-growing municipality. Putting off the building of schools, roads and the public amenities we need for many years would mean leaving today's problems to the generations after us.
